DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):
Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science, Department of Physical Metallurgy and Powder Metallurgy is seeking to recruit an experienced researcher to carry out research in the field of phase transformation, deformation processes and wear mechanisms of steel and special alloys.
Requirements:
1) Habilitation degree in the field of materials science,
2) Scientific achievements acknowledged by publications in the journals indexed in the JCR, particularly published after PhD DSc degree. Publications scope: iron alloys, titanium alloys, nickel alloys and other special alloys, metallographic aspects of tribological wear, surface layers, recovery and recrystallization processes, phase transformations taking into account structural changes evaluated by microscopic, spectroscopy (Mössbauer spectroscopy) analysis and failure analysis,
3) Supervising at least one open PhD thesis,
4) Teaching experience (lectures and laboratories), particularly in steels and special alloys, the material selection in engineering design and wear mechanisms,
5) Supervising of engineering and master theses,
6) Experience in collegial work group at a university,
7) Management skills and experience in team leading, including the management of research and development works (incl. expertises) for industry,
8) Adhere to ethical standards (www.agh.edu.pl – dokumenty – inne – "kodeks etyczny AGH").
The scientific and didactic achievements of the candidate must be evaluated by an external referee holding a scientific title and approbated by the Faculty Board.
