DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments): The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, AGH University of Science and Technology, Kraków, Poland, is seeking a candidate for the university professor position in the Department of Sociology, Economy and Social Communi-cation.
The scholars meeting the requirements of Art.109 of the Act of 27 July 2005 Law on Higher Education (Dz. U. No 164, title 1365, as amended) can apply for the position of university professor.
Requirements for candidates:
1. Habilitated doctor degree in sociology,
2. A proven track-record of academic activity and publications in scientific journals within the field of social science – studies on intercultural communication, social communication – local consultations, social innovations on the local level, methods and techniques of social research, sociology of social problems,
3. Participation in research projects,
4. Proven organizational achievements (including organization of academic confer-ences),
5. Experience in academic teaching within the field of sociology or social informatics,
6. Achievements in the field of supervising doctoral theses – open or completed doctoral procedures ,
7. Fluent command in speech and writing of the Polish language. Knowledge of one of the conference languages (English preferred)

3. curriculum vitae;
4. certified copy of habilitated doctor degree diploma;
5. list of publications; research record; information about prior positions, including teach-ing, organizational and administrative experience;
6. declaration stating that the AGH University of Science and Technology will be the main place of employment of the candidate.
