Job description: Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, is looking for a candidate for the position of assistant professor in Advanced Materials Engineering and Modelling Group at Faculty of Chemistry. Work objectives are: scientific activity in the field of nanophotonics, optical trapping, nonlinear optical properties of nanocrystals and their colloidal solutions, and teaching activities of material chemistry, properties of optoelectronic, nonlinear and functional materials and physics. Responsibilities: Conducting research in the field of general nanophotonics, light interaction (including nonlinear interaction) with dielectric, semiconductor and metal nanoparticles. Developing optical tweezer technology and its application in bioscience. Conducting teaching in Polish of material chemistry, properties of optoelectronic, nonlinear and functional materials and physics. Conducting teaching in English. • Preparation of scientific projects and securing their founding. • Publication of scientific research results in JCR journals. • Care of optical and laser equipment. • Developing of scientific and experimental methods in the field of nanophotonics. • Participation in organizational work for the research team and the K-1 chair. Requirements: • PhD in Chemistry. • Fluent knowledge of the Polish language, in the case of foreigners, confirmed by an appropriate certificate enabling teaching. • Fluent knowledge of the English language. • Knowledge of LabView and MatLab softwares. • Experience as a principal investigator and/or coinvestigator in scientific projects. • Minimum 4 years of scientific research experience after PhD • Scientific work experience at foreign universities. • Significant publishing achievements in the field of nanophotonics, nonlinear optics and material chemistry published in journals from the JCR list (at least 5 publications as the first or corresponding author). • Experience in conducting classes for first and/or second degree students.
