DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):
The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Poland, is seeking for a candidate for assistant professor position in the Department of Sociology, Economy and Social Communication.
Requirements for candidates:
1. PhD in social science
2. A proven track-record of academic activity and publications in scientific journals within the field of social science (studies on local government or social capital) or social informatics

3. Participation in research projects
4. Proven organisational achievements (including organisation of academic
conferences)
5. Experience (minimum 2 years) in academic teaching within the field of
sociology or social informatics
6. Fluent command in speech and writing of the Polish language. Knowledge of
one of the conference languages on level B2
The application must include:
1. a letter of application;
2. curriculum vitae;
3.personal questionnaire;
4. certified copy of PhD degree diploma;
5. list of publications; research record; information about prior positions, including
teaching and administrative experience;
6. declaration stating that the AGH University of Science and Technology will be the
main place of employment of the candidate.
The scholars meeting the requirements of Art.109 of the Act of 27 July 2005 Law on
Higher Education (Dz. U. No 164, title 1842, as amended) can apply for the position
of assistant professor.
